USA Florence Biennale Artists of 2009

Dear USA  Florence Biennale Artists of 2009

The Florence Biennale USA Registry would like to congratulate all for participating this year and welcome you all to the official USA artist registry for the Florence Biennale 2009. We have placed all the names of the participating artists on this years page, please check that spelling is correct.

This website was constructed last year after many previous attempts, the Biennale's wed site developed too and the present format has three OFFICIAL national registries linked to them, including ours. Other countries are following suit and the next step will be to link them all on another site we have made called FB Global links. We would like to present the merits of the USA Registry and encourage everyone to become acquainted with the site and one and another too.

Firstly I would like to express that the Florence Biennale is a dynamic experience for visual fine artists. The city, the contacts, new friends, opportunities are set within a congress style format where one can self represent and be heard, be seen and be critiqued by peers and curators.

Secondly I would like to emphasize that although we attend individually the purpose of the congress/biennale is to promote groups and initiatives. Especial attention has been given to united group projects. Our registry is an important tool that can promote and unite international creative projects.

The FBUSA registry invites you to participate with membership, portfolios and links. Consideration for Group shows will need to be published by early July for the Biennale to fully consider the effect of the group.
Information is on the 'membership' page.

Contact us for postal mailing address and logo downloads to your own site.

USA Florence Biennale
Artist Registry News Letter April 09

Dear All,thank you for all your responses, suggestions and enthusiasm.

The the Florence Biennale has accepted our graphic changes and line up. We are now "Officially''listed as an International group and we can post all FBUSA artists' news with credits.

The other official International Groups are Australia, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, and many others in the making.

The new participants from this year, 2009 are starting to list themselves and aquire links and network. We would like to encourage everyone to share their positive thoughts and constructive ideas with the USA 09 group.

The Florence Biennale are recognizing the Groups that link together on the web and are willing to credit these projects.

We think this is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to be included, despite the hard times, in a high profile International Arts Forum.

We are interested in hearing about USA Artists' projects from local
communities, environmental and educational events that we know many of you have been doing.

FBUSA artist Registry is a perfect format to show case our collective attitude towards volunteerism and community involvement, the ideals which make the USA really what it is! We think this is as important as any list of prestigious Art show credits. Please send us your news and articles for a possibility of inclusion on the Editors news list, brief summary /headline and the link, however don't forget the Facebook page and blog, " Florence Biennale USA artists Registry''

Ana Bikic will be going to Florence in December & will represent the group, conduct interviews and promote interactive
projects with other registries, artists etc.

This process of curation will be included on the registry too, for 2010.
       To recap on Policies.

All  USA Participants with the Biennale are listed free!
Membership fees for  Links  and portfolio pages shown on the new 'membership' page.

Oz Art Auction Crisis

  ADOPTED ART BILL
We think this bill is a disaster for the artist. Copyright has been an issue of great importance to us.Currently the Library of Congress allows annual collections to be registered under a series title.Although fees have increased in recent years this new bill will allow others to snatch what ever images they need and fane ignorance of orginal ownership. The Artist will be left with the burden of proof of theft. Fines are expected to be minimal and recompense low.
We strongly recomend that everyone protect their on line images with a dedicated strategy of Pixel tattooing and visible signatures, links and personal records.

The crisis spreads to the art market

The impact of the financial crisis on the art market - traditionally perceived as a financial safe haven - is now clearly confirmed. A market downturn is no longer a theoretical scenario... it is a reality. Since the beginning of September, the art market has contracted for the first time since 1990.
